HI, I’m Kevin Alexzander. I am the author of the book series, Recaptured Love: I, II, and III (coming soon). I am a prostate cancer survivor, never a victim, having been diagnosed with advance stage prostate cancer in 2002.
I am the founder of Intimacy Coaching University™ and Intimacy with Prostate Cancer™ coaching programs and seminars.
Kevin Alexzander is not my real name. It is a pseudonym that I use in addition to Zanti Meko-Qwanzi and Brian Alexzander. I use on a daily basis my given name, B. Kevin Lauderdale. I’ll share my story of how Kevin and Alexzander came about or was born.
In the mid-nineteen nineties I was the Regional Director of the Michigan Small Business Development Center at Wayne State University. I was scheduled to give a luncheon keynote address at a small business conference in Detroit, Michigan. After several weeks of planing and communicating with the event coordinator I arrived at the location for my presentation. When I approached the luncheon room I noticed that the signage in front of the room read, Luncheon Keynote Speaker, Kevin Alexzander with my title of Regional Director. Well I was a little surprised and at first wasn’t sure if I was in the right place. The event coordinator even after several weeks of communications had mistakenly used Kevin Alexzander instead of B. Kevin Lauderdale in all the signage at the event. What struck me about all of this is… I liked the name, Kevin Alexzander, and decided right then I was going to use that as a pen name in the future. So that’s how Kevin Alexzander was born.
My business is structured around my three pseudonyms and I use each one for the 3 major passions I have in my life. Kevin Alexzander is used in my work with, Intimacy with Prostate Cancer™. Zanti Meko-Qwanzi is used in my work with self-growth and development and men’s work and my other pseudonym, Brian Alexzander , is used in my work with entrepreneurship.
My passion and mission is to help men, women and couples navigate through the ups and downs of prostate cancer treatment and create vibrant and passion filled intimate couple relationships.
To that end, I write on some topics that others often shy away from when talking about Intimacy with Prostate Cancer™, intimacy, sex, relationships, health, attitude and approach and mindset. I’ll also write about other stuff that doesn’t fit neatly into one of these categories.
Coming soon, I will have a weekly podcast called… you guessed it… Intimacy with Prostate Cancer™. The podcast will also feature experts in the categories I mentioned above and we’ll cover similar topics as those on the blog.
My goal is to create honest, insightful and relevant content that you can put to work in your relationship and personal life. My desire for you is to have the most fulfilling intimacy relationship possible–if this is what you also desire–then this website is for you.
I typically post two times a week, sometimes more. To make sure you don’t miss my newest post, you can subscribe by adding your email address in the form on this page. It’s quick, easy, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
